To two of the strongest women I’ve ever known and who have invested so much in me.

For my mom, Brenda, who sadly passed away 10 years ago. Without her, my love for programming and changing the world through technology wouldn’t have blossomed. The love I show in the world is a manifestation of her deep love for me and my sister, Brandi.

To my wife, Debra, who has been tirelessly dedicated to our success ever since we began dating 28 years ago. From my first company, Hurt Technology Consulting, to all five of the others, including data.world, Bazaarvoice, and Coremetrics, I’ve made my most critical business and life decisions with her wise advice and perspective. She’s my better half and incredible lifelong partner. And that includes our most important entrepreneurial endeavor, raising Rachel and Levi!
